Bears In Middle Of Western Intercollegiate Field
No. 21 Cal Falls To 8th After 36 Holes Played

Eric Lee moved up two spots into the top 10 individually with a 1-over-par 71, but the California men's golf team dropped to eighth place with a second-round 14-over-par 364 at the Western Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
None of the 14 teams in competition at Pasatiempo Golf Club shot under par in the second round; Cal (+20) entered the round tied for fourth, but now sits 11 shots off the lead, held by Stanford (+9). Arizona (+11), Washington (+12), San Diego State (+13), Oregon (+15) and BYU (+15) rounded out the top five after 36 holes played.
Lee birdied his last two holes of the day and shot 1-under across the final nine holes. He's tied for 10th individually and only trails clubhouse leader Filip Jakubcik (-4) of Arizona by four shots.
Sampson Zheng (+2) also climbed two spots on the individual leaderboard into a tie for 20th, shooting a 1-over 71 for the second straight day.
