BEARS IN THE POSTSEASON
Cal is making its 12th straight NCAA Regional appearance and 28th overall, and will be looking to qualify for the sixth NCAA Championships in program history. Cal enters the postseason as the No. 3 team in the country and has spent a good chunk of the year in the No. 2 slot. The Bears won their first outright regular-season conference championship in program history this season as well.

HOWELL, CRANDALL-HOWELL TAKE HONORS
Cal co-head coaches Justin Howell and Liz Crandall-Howell were named the Pac-12 Coaches of the Year last week after leading the Bears to their first outright conference title in program history. The couple has also had Cal ranked No. 2 or No. 3 in the nation for most of the season and guided the Bears to the highest single-meet score ever (198.550) at Stanford. Howell and Crandall-Howell have also overseen the emergence of sophomore eMjae Frazier and junior Mya Lauzon, who have spent virtually the entire season each ranked in the top 10 nationally in the all-around.

BEARS SHATTER ALL-AMERICA RECORD
The Bears received 10 All-America honors from the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association – the most in a single-season in program history. Junior Mya Lauzon and sophomore eMjae Frazier also set individual program benchmarks with three first-team accolades and four overall. Junior Maddie Williams picked up First-Team All-American accolades on the uneven bars for the second straight season while senior Gabby Perea picked up a second-team nod on bars as well. The 10 awards were tied for the second most in the country and eclipsed the previous program best of seven, which was set last season.

BEARS DOMINATE ALL-PAC-12 TEAM
Sophomore eMjae Frazier was one of only two gymnasts in the conference to be named All-Pac-12 First Team in all five disciplines - all-around, vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise while junior Mya Lauzon garnered first-team recognition in four events - all-around, vault, balance beam and floor exercise. Junior Maddie Williams was named All-Pac-12 First Team as an all-arounder and on uneven bars while senior Gabby Perea was also named to the conference's first team on uneven bars while securing honorable mention on balance beam. Senior Andi Li also earned honorable mention on bars.

LI NOMINATED FOR AAI AWARD
Senior Andi Li was one of 50 nominees for the prestigious AAI Award, given annually to the most outstanding senior female gymnast in the country. Li is a three-time All-American on the uneven bars and last season was named a Second-Team All-American on all-around. She has also helped the Bears to the first three conference championships in program history, including an outright title this year.

BEARS DOMINATE WEEKLY HONORS
The Pac-12 issued 11 Gymnast of the Week honors during the regular season, and the Bears won six of them. Sophomore eMjae Frazier won three in succession and four overall while junior Mya Lauzon took the honor in back-to-back weeks on Jan. 23 and Jan. 30. Frazier is the only gymnast in Cal history to win the honor in three straight weeks and four times overall during a single season.

50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Last season marked the 50th year of California women's gymnastics, and the Bears honored the occasion last month with a memorable gala the evening before their meet against Oregon State. Alumni across different decades attended the event at the University Club at California Memorial Stadium, and they were also honored during the meet against the Beavers.

CRANDALL-HOWELL REACHES CENTURY MARK
Cal co-head coach Liz Crandall Howell notched her 100th career victory with the Bears' win over Oregon State on Jan. 27. Crandall-Howell has an overall record of 110-41-2 since joining Justin Howell as co-head coach in 2018. Crandall-Howell and Howell were named the WCGA Co-Head Coaches of the Year last season.

CAL PICKED THIRD IN PAC-12 PRESEASON POLL
Cal was picked to finish third in the Pac-12 Preseason Coaches Poll for the seventh consecutive year. The top half of this year's poll shook out to be nearly identical to last season's, as Utah claimed the top spot with 46 points and five first-place votes and UCLA placed second with 43 points and the three remaining first-place votes. The Golden Bears followed in third with 43 points and Oregon State placed fourth with 30 points.
