Alum Set To Compete Again On Saturday Evening

FORT WORTH, Texas – California men's gymnastics alum Noah Newfeld started off competition at his second U.S. Gymnastics Championships on Thursday evening at Dickies Arena, going toe-to-toe with 33 of the best collegiate and professional gymnasts in the nation attempting to clinch a spot on the Senior Men's National Team.
 
Newfeld opted to scratch vault and high bar, starting off his night with a 13.650 (tied-19th place). He followed that up with a 13.250 (20th place) on floor, a 13.150 (13th place) on pommel horse and a 13.550 (13th place) on rings.
 
Newfeld and the other senior men's gymnasts will compete once again on Saturday at 5 p.m. PT, after which the top finishers from both days of competition will be recognized and the U.S. National Team named.
