BERKELEY – The California men's golf team unveiled its 2024-25 schedule Thursday, featuring 11 stroke-play competitions spanning September through April as well as the annual Big Match against Stanford. It's the Golden Bears first season both as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference and under the leadership of Alex and Marie Shipman Director of Men's Golf Michael Wilson.

Cal will play seven events in the state of California and make familiar visits to Arizona, Hawaii, Mexico and Washington, in addition to Bowling Green, Kentucky, for the 2025 ACC Championship, hosted at The Club at Olde Stone on April 24-28.

The five-event fall slate starts Sept. 23-24 at the Husky Invitational, hosted by Washington at Aldarra Golf Club in Sammamish, Washington. Just two days later on Sept. 26, Cal's men's and women's squads will team up to face Stanford in the fifth-annual Big Match at Menlo Country Club. The rivalry match – six mixed pairs go head-to-head to determine a winner between the rival schools – has been played four times since 2018 and saw the Bears win a 4-3 thriller last fall.

Cal will round out the fall season with three tournaments in as many weeks between Oct. 7-29, highlighted by hosting the Alister MacKenzie Invitational at Meadow Club in Fairfax. The MacKenzie is one of two tournaments the Bears won last year that they'll play in again during the upcoming fall, along with the Cal Poly Invitational on Oct. 28-29 at Preserve Golf Club in Carmel. Cal will also tee it up at the Pacific Invitational at Stockton Country Club on Oct. 14-16.

After a three-month break in competition, the Bears open the spring at the Southwestern Invitational for the second straight year. The Pepperdine-hosted, three-day tournament will be played at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks from Jan. 27-29.

Cal plays just once in February, trekking to the Hawaiian island of Kauai for the John A. Burns Intercollegiate on Feb. 13-15.

March will see the Bears play in the Cabo Collegiate (March 2-4) at Twin Dolphin Club, the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate (March 17-18) in Tucson, Arizona, and The Goodwin, hosted by Stanford at its home course on March 27-29. The regular season will conclude at the Western Intercollegiate at Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz on April 14-16.

The NCAA Championship is back at Omni La Costa in Carlsbad on May 23-28. Cal returned to the NCAA Championship for the first time since 2019 and the 16th time in program history last season, placing 19th overall.
