Bears Add Quartet Of Top 2026 Talents

BERKELEY – California women's gymnastics has penned four members of its latest recruiting class, announced Thursday by Head Coach Geralen Stack-Eaton. Kee Anne Cura, Maddison Hajjar, Adilenne Holt and Nia Thomas will join the Golden Bears. 

"Each of these student-athletes brings unique strengths that will complement one another and enhance the depth and competitiveness of our team," Stack-Eaton said. "Our coaching staff has worked diligently throughout the summer and fall to assemble a roster of remarkable young women who truly represent the values and vision of our program. We are thrilled to welcome a group of talented athletes, dedicated students, and exceptional people who will continue to elevate our culture and help us compete at the highest level."


Kee Anne Cura | Bothell, WA | North Creek High School | Pacific Reign Gymnastics

Cura comes to Cal from the Pacific Reign Gymnastics club as a three-time national qualifier from 2023-25. Most recently, she placed fourth on uneven bars at the 2025 Women's Development Program L10 nationals and placed in the top-25 in the all-around. She was also crowned the 2025 regional champion in both the all-around and bars events.

This past year was not her first time claiming the regional bars title after also doing so in 2023. Cura earned the state crown in both the all-around and bars the same year. In 2022, she was the Western national bars champion.

Cura is the daughter of Mary Ann and Ferdinand Cura. Outside of gymnastics, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading and hiking.


Maddison Hajjar | Montreal, CAN | Ecole Secondaire Des Sources | WIMGYM

Hajjar will look to join the Bears' roster this upcoming January from the Montreal West Island Gymnastics club. She is the 2025 Gymnix International Challenge floor exercise gold medalist and won a silver medal on uneven bars and a bronze medal on floor exercise at the 2025 Luxembourg Open while representing Team Canada. Hajjar was also chosen to attend the 2025 World University Games in Germany. 

In 2024, Hajjar received bronze on floor exercise at the Pacific Rims competition in Columbia and was crowned her high school's Female Athlete of the Year. The year prior, she earned a silver medal on floor at the 2023 World Cup in Varna, Bulgaria, and earned the bronze medal at the Gymnova Cup in four events – bars, balance beam, floor exercise and the all-around. In 2022, she was awarded silver on beam and the all-around and bronze on bars and floor exercise at the Elite Canada competition. Hajjar also earned silver on floor at the 2022 Gymnova Cup and was awarded Best Junior Choreography on her floor routine at nationals, in addition to a silver medal on beam.

Also a high-achiever in the classroom, Hajjar received the Georges St-Pierre Scholarship for Academic Excellence in 2022 and has once been named to her high school's Dean's List.

Hajjar is the daughter of Kim Perry and Richard Hajjar and has an older sister (Mackenzie) and older brother (Cameron). She is the proud owner of three mini dachshunds – Scooby, Shaggy and Bailey. Hajjar enjoys spending time with friends and family, baking and playing cards in her free time.


Adilenne Holt | Allen, TX | Allen High School | Metroplex Gymnastics 

Holt joins the Bears from the Metroplex Gymnastics club as a three-time national qualifier in 2023, '24 and '25. Holt was crowned the 2025 regional uneven bars champion in 2025. The year prior, she won the state title in the same event. In 2022, she claimed the Western all-around and bars championships.

Holt is also accomplished in the classroom and has been named an Eagle Scholar and an AP Scholar with Distinction.

She is the daughter of Derek and Rebeckah Holt and is a triplet. Her hobbies outside of gymnastics include playing pickleball, reading and building Legos. 


Nia Thomas | Houston, TX | Fort Bend Christian Academy | Houston Gymnastics Center

Thomas comes to Cal from the Houston Gymnastics Center club as a four-time national qualifier. Most recently, she was runner-up in the all-around at 2025 regionals with a 38.1. At the 2025 Women's Development Program L10 nationals, Thomas placed in the top-10 on both uneven bars (10th) and balance beam (7th).

Thomas excels in the classroom and was named Sophomore of the Year at her school as a second-year. She was twice named the English Student of the Year as a freshman and sophomore. Thomas is also the National Honors Society president and a member of the National Science Honor Society.

She is the daughter of Trevear and Dana Thomas and enjoys journaling, vlogging and reading in her free time.
