Bears Welcome 3 Talented Student-Athletes To Program
Trio Of New Cal Men’s Golfers Bring Long List Of Accomplishments To Berkeley
BERKELEY – Three talented student-athletes have joined the California men's golf program for the 2026-27 season, Alex and Marie Shipman Director of Men's Golf
Michael Wilson announced Friday.
Callixte Alzas of Paris, Graham Christopher of Westlake Village and Noah Eisen of Fairfield have all signed to join the Bears next fall.
Alzas is Golfweek's No. 23 recruit in the country, according to Golfweek. He captured the 2025 Carris Trophy, given to the winner of the English Boys Under-18 Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship, and was the first pick of the European Junior Ryder Cup Team this year. Alzas also helped Europe win the Jacques Leglise Trophy – an annual boys team competition between Great Britain & Ireland and the rest of Europe.
"We are excited to welcome Callixte to the Cal Golf family," Wilson said. "Callixte has competed all around the world and has an impressive resume. He is a hard worker, has a big heart and big dreams for the future."
Christopher is currently ranked No. 57 by the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) and was the 2025 winner of the Justin Thomas Junior Championship and the 2024 Toyota Tour Cup at River Ridge. Christopher has four other top-5 finishes in the Toyota Tour Cup.
"Graham is a tough competitor with a massive passion for the game," Wilson said. "In Graham, we see someone hungry to learn, be an awesome teammate and compete hard every day for the Golden Bears. We are excited to welcome him to the Cal golf family."
Eisen is a two-time Junior Golf Association of Northern California (JGANC) match play champion and was 2025 All-EBAL First-Team selection at prestigious De La Salle High School in nearby Concord. Eisen finished fourth at the 2024 California State Junior Amateur Championship.
"We are excited to welcome Noah to our team," Wilson said. "He is a gritty competitor, a great athlete and someone who will work hard each day to make himself and the team better."
The Bears are in between the fall and spring seasons for the 2025-26 year. They resume action in late January.
