LIHUE, Hawaii – Three Golden Bears carded under-par scores Friday as the California men's golf team climbed three spots on the leaderboard in round two of the John A. Burns Intercollegiate.
 
Freshman Ziqin (Eric) Zhou led the way with a 4-under 66 while Charlie Berridge and Sihao Cong each posted a 68 to lead the Bears to a 7-under-par 273 in the second round. Cal (+10) moved into 12th place overall. Utah (-15), Long Beach State (-9) and UNLV (-8) round out the top three through 36 holes played.
 
Redshirt senior Kuangyu (Tony) Chen shot even par for a second straight day and is tied for 35th individually alongside Berridge, who jumped 20 spots on the individual leaderboard with his day-two 68. Zhou, who shot a 10-over 80 on Thursday, moved up 30 spots on the leaderboard with his 66.
