POSTSEASON PICTURE
The Bears are appearing in their 12th straight NCAA Regional and will look to advance to their third straight NCAA Championship. Cal has been to 27 total regionals and seven NCAA Championships.

The Bears are back-to-back regional champions after winning last year's regional at home and the 2023 Pittsburgh Regional, which featured then-second-seeded Florida.

LAUZON, WILLIAMS NAMED WCGA ALL-AMERICANS
Mya Lauzon and Maddie Williams hauled in a total of 6 WCGA All-America honors on Monday.

Lauzon was named a First Team All-American in the all-around and floor exercise, while earning second-team accolades for the balance beam and uneven bars. The seventh-ranked all-arounder in the country now has 10 regular season All-America selections including three for beam and two for floor. Lauzon has an NQS of 9.92 or higher on three events she was honored for.

Williams took home first-team honors on bars for a third straight year, as she currently ranks fourth in the nation with a 9.945 NQS. She is the highest ranked ACC gymnast in any single event. It is the first time in Williams' career that she has earned multiple regular season honors, having also been named a Second Team All-American in the all-around. Both seniors had successful outings at the ACC Championships with Lauzon winning a share of the all-around, beam, and floor titles, and Williams sharing the gold medal with her on floor.

LAUZON, COACHES EARN MAJOR AWARDS
Following the ACC Championship Mya Lauzon was named the ACC Gymnast of the Year and Justin/Liz were named Co-Head Coaches of the Year with Danna Durante of UNC. This is the first conference GOW award in Cal's history. Crandall-Howell's third and Howell's fifth career Coach of the Year awards come after leading the Bears to their fourth straight regular season conference title. It was Cal's second straight year with a perfect conference record and second straight outright title.

4 BEARS NAMED ALL-ACC
Four Bears earned a conference-best 13 All-ACC honors. Senior Mya Lauzon and junior eMjae Frazier were the only two gymnasts to be named All-ACC in all five disciplines. Senior Maddie Williams earned the honor for the uneven bars and floor exercise and sophomore Kyen Mayhew was given the nod for vault.

Lauzon has now tallied 12 all-conference honors in her career and continues to expand her expertise by earning the nod on bars for the first time. The senior is the conference's highest ranked all-arounder, currently sixth in the nation, and its top beam (8th) and floor (4th) competitor.

This is the second year in a row that Frazier has been honored in all five disciplines and now has 11 all-conference designations to her name. The junior ranks 14th in the country in the all-around and has an NQS of 9.880 or better in all four events.

Williams wraps up her Cal career with her fourth straight bars recognition and her first honor on floor. The third-ranked bars competitor in the country boasts an NQS of 9.940 on the event, which is the highest of any Bear on any event this season.

Mayhew owns the top vault score on the team this year, a 9.925 that won her the event in the Bears dual with Pitt on Feb. 23. She has three scores of 9.9 or better and an NQS of 9.860 that earned her the first all-conference selection of her career.

LAUZON EARNS SIXTH ACC GOW AWARD
Lauzon closed out the regular season with her 6th ACC Gymnast of the Week Award last Tuesday. The senior has now won the award five times in seven weeks. Cal won Gymnast of the Week nine out 11 weeks and totaled 10 weekly honors collected by five different gymnasts. The Bears ended the regular season with a pair of wins in two home quad meets this past weekend thanks in part to Lauzon's five event wins and seven podium finishes. On Friday she won the balance beam (9.95) and the floor exercise (9.925) while finishing second in the all-around (39.55). Lauzon followed that up with a phenomenal Senior Day performance Sunday by winning the all-around (39.675), beam (9.975) and floor (9.95).

MILESTONES MET
During the final weekend of the regular season both co-head coaches reached career milestones with Justin Howell hitting 250 and Liz Crandall-Howell surpassing 150. Howell has the most wins in program history and Crandall-Howell has the highest win percentage (.758).

FIRST SEASON, FIRST TITLE
With a win over Stanford (2/28) on The Farm the Bears secured their first ACC regular season title in their inaugural season. They are the first Cal program to be dubbed ACC regular season champs and just the second team to hoist the women's gymnastics trophy as the conference is only its second season of sponsoring the sport.

Cal already has its name all over the conference record book with the two highest team scores (197.775, 197.750) in ACC history, the highest NQS (197.515), and the highest individual all-around score (Mya Lauzon - 39.775).

The Bears have won at least a share of their conference title in four straight seasons and are back-to-back outright champions. They are the first team in the history of the sport to have undefeated conference records in back-to-back seasons in two different conferences.
