Sissoko Signs Summer League Contract With Oklahoma City

Former Cal Big Man Gets Shot With Reigning NBA Champions

BERKELEY – Former California men's basketball center Mady Sissoko signed with a non-drafted free agent contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder and will be on the reigning NBA champions' Summer League roster.

Sissoko and the Thunder first play in the Salt Lake City Summer League with games on July 5, 7 and 8. Sissoko will then have a shot at extending his time with Oklahoma City as Summer League action transitions to Las Vegas on July 10-20; the Thunder play on July 10, 12, 15 and 16.

Sissoko played one season for the Golden Bears as a graduate student in 2024-25 after starting 59 games across four seasons at Michigan State (2020-24). The Bafoulabe, Mali, native was an anchor in the paint for Cal, starting 32 games while averaging career highs in scoring (8.2 points per game), rebounding (8.2 RPG), blocks (1.1 BPG) and minutes played (27.0 MPG). Sissoko's team-leading 65.3% field-goal clip (94 of 144) was the second-best single-season mark in program history.

He played the best basketball of his collegiate career in the final stages of the 2024-25 season, averaging 13.2 PPG and 11.8 RPG in Cal's final five games.
