				Voorvelt Named CSC Academic All-American
Recent Graduate Becomes Second Cal Women's Water Polo Student-Athlete To Secure Honor

Recent California women's water polo graduate
Rozanne Voorvelt became just the second Academic All-American in program history Tuesday when the 2025 Academic All-America Women's At-Large Team was announced by College Sports Communicators.
One year after former All-American goalie
Isabel Williams became the program's first-ever award-winner, Voorvelt - who graduated in May with a degree in molecular environmental biology - earned Third Team honors after being named to the CSC All-District Team last month, making her eligible for Academic All-American accolades. She finished her Cal career with a 3.84 cumulative GPA and is soon expected to earn ACWPC All-Academic recognition for the fourth consecutive year.
Voorvelt also excelled in the pool, twice earning ACWPC All-American honorable mention while helping the Bears reach the NCAA Tournament all four years of her career. That included a trip to the national championship game in 2024.
To be eligible for CSC academic recognition for women's water polo, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and compete in at least 90 percent of her games or start in at least 66 percent.
The CSC has an Academic All-America program for 16 specific sports. All other sports – including water polo – are part of the at-large division.
