PALM DESERT – The California women's golf team used a strong final round to place fourth at the Alice & John Wallace Classic at Monterey Country Club.

The Golden Bears shot 1-under par as a team Monday – the third-lowest team score of the day among the 16 teams in the field. Cal finished at 22-over par for the tournament and registered its third top-5 finish of the season.

Senior Adora Liu recorded the second-best individual finish of her career, tying for fourth place at even-par. The only better finish of her career came during her freshman season at the rain-shortened Causeway Invitational, when she tied for second after just one round.

Three of Cal's five golfers improved with each round during the tournament, with junior Constance Fouillet carding a 3-under 68 on Monday, which was the fourth-best round of the day.

Michelle Woo had the third top-15 finish of her freshman year, placing 14th at 6-over par. Fouillet was in a tie for 22nd at 8-over par.

The Bears return to action March 9-10 at the Juli Inkster Invitational at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco.
