The No. 56 California Golden Bears (11-7) defeated Boston College 7-0 and Saint Mary's 6-1 at Hellman Tennis Complex on Friday. 

To begin the morning, Cal jumped out to a 1-0 lead against Boston College after doubles wins on courts two and three. On court three, Bernardo Munk Mesa and Paris Pouatcha won 6-1. Meanwhile, teammates Alex Aney and Tiago Silva clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 victory of their own. Aney and Silva's win marked their first win as a duo. 

In singles play against the Eagles, Tiago Silva secured the Bears' second point of the day with a 6-3, 6-2 straight-set victory on court three. Next, on court five, Paris Pouatcha inched Cal closer to a match victory after he won in straight-sets, 6-4, 6-0. Finally, on court five, junior Lenn Luemkemann won 6-4, 6-1 to clinch the victory for the Bears. 

Despite the match already clinched, Lee, Lechno-Wasiutynski and Stepanov each picked up victories. Luemkemann and Lee's singles wins marked their first singles wins in the ACC. 

In the afternoon, Cal clinched the doubles point with wins on courts one and three. On court three, Bernardo Munk Mesa and Paris Pouatcha won 6-1 to stay undefeated this season with a 6-0 record. Meanwhile, Timofey Stepanov and Fryderyk Lechno-Wasiutynski clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 victory of their own. Stepanov and Lechno-Wasiutynski also stayed undefeated this season with a 3-0 record. 

In singles play against the Gaels, Timofey Stepanov claimed the Bears' second point of the match with a 6-3, 6-1 victory on court one. Next, Lenn Luemkemann secured the third point of the match with a 6-2, 6-2 victory on court five. Ultimately, Paris Pouatcha won 6-1, 7-5 to clinch the victory for the Bears. 

Next: The Bears will face No. 36 SMU at home on Sunday.
