Bears Tab Best Finish Of The Season At Western Intercollegiate
Cal Finishes As Runner Up
SANTA CRUZ - California men's golf had their best finish of the season Wednesday at the Western Intercollegiate, finishing in second place as a team. The Bears shot an even par 350 in the final round, finishing one shot behind tournament champion USC with a three day total of 12-under par (1038).
Sophomore
Ziqin Zhou followed up his team best 5-under par 65 Tuesday, with a 1-under par 69 in the final round, ending the tournament in a tie for 10th place. Redshirt junior
Charlie Bundy entered the day leading Cal at 4-under par, and carded an even par 70 Wednesday, tying with Zhou for 10th place.
Cal had three more golfers finish in the top 25 as freshman
Trevor Cox and senior
Daniel Heo finished with a three day total of 1-under par 209, each tying for 18th place respectively. Redshirt sophomore
Sihao Cong shot a 1-over par 71 Wednesday, finishing in a tie for 24th place at even par (210) for the tournament.
Next up, the Bears head to the ACC Championships next Thursday Shark's Tooth Golf Club in Panama City, Florida.
