Cal Signs Nojus Indrusaitis As Newcomer For 2026-27
The 6-5 Guard Joins Bears As Transfer From Pitt
California men's basketball welcomes the addition of signee Nojus Indrusaitis to the roster for head coach
Mark Madsen's 2026-27 Golden Bear squad. Indrusaitis, a 6-foot-5 guard, comes to Cal after serving his sophomore season at Pitt and freshman campaign at Iowa State.
He played in 15 games at Iowa State, including the Cyclones' NCAA Tournament opening round win in 2025. As a sophomore at Pitt, Indrusaitis played in all 33 games with six starts, averaging 9.1 points and 3.1 rebounds per game for the Panthers. He made 55 threes, including four 3-pointers landed when Pitt visited Cal in ACC play.
"Nojus proved himself as one of the most lethal shooters in ACC play last season," Madsen said of Indrusaitis. "With his ability to come off of ball screens and complete on defense, his game goes well beyond shooting. He is an absolute competitor. We can't wait to add Nojus to the Cal family!"
Indrustraitis grew up in Lemont, Ill., and played his senior season at Brewster Academy after beginning his prep career at Lemont High and then St. Rita in Chicago. The 2024 New Hampshire Gatorade Player of the Year also has represented his country at the 2024 U18 Eurobasket event, where he averaged 20.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists for Lithuania and posted a 30-point game against Sweden. He was the MVP at the 2023 Basketball Without Borders Europe Camp and also competed for Lithuania at the 2023 U18 Eurobasket Championship and 2022 FIBA U16 European Championship.
Indrusaitis joins a Cal program that made big strides in 2025-26 in recording the most wins in a season (22) since 2016 and its first postseason win since 2014. Last season's squad also recorded eight games with 90-plus points scored and had five players ranked in top-100 national statistical categories.
