BERKELEY — In its second top-25 matchup of the weekend, the California Golden Bears men's tennis team (14-11, 6-6) fell to No. 3 Wake Forest (26-3, 11-1) 4-2 on Sunday.

To begin the day, the Bears saw three close contests on each doubles court but ultimately surrendered points on Courts 1 and 3 to concede the doubles point.

In singles action, Cal gave up points on Courts 5 and 6 before Fryderyk Lechno-Wasiutynski gave the Bears their first point of the day. Then, on Court 4, Bernardo Munk Mesa inched Cal back to within one point of Wake Forest with a straight-set victory before the Bears gave up the decisive fourth point on Court 2.
