TRACK & FIELD
2021 (Outdoor): Competed in five outdoor meets… his 3k time of 8:14.55 at the Big Meet was the 16^th-best mark in Division I that season… at the West Coast Classic in Oregon, ran a personal-best 14:15.22 in the 5k… set the Pac-12’s 15^th-best time of the season in the 10k with a time of 30:16.44 at the Stanford Invitational… took third place in the 1500m at the Aztec Invitational with a personal-record time of 3:49.94… made the 2021 Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll.

2020: Competed in the 3,000-meters at the MPSF Championships, crossing the line in 8:25.12.

2019: Recorded a personal best time of 8:53.36 in the 3000m event as he took seventh at the Big Meet...Finished second in the 1500m event at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational with a time of 3:57.41… Pac-12 All-Academic First Team member. 

2018: Opened the year by running 3:58.40 in the 1500m at the Cal Opener... Recorded a 5000m time of 15:17.12 at the Sacramento State Hornet Invitational... Notched a personal best in the steeplechase with a time of 9:49.78... Won the Golden Bear Award for highest GPA on the team.  

CROSS COUNTRY
2020: Competed in two meets for the Bears… ran a personal-best 23:58.9 in the 8k at the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships… took sixth place in the 8k at the Dave Murray Invitational with his time of 24:46.6.

2019: Competed in six meets during the 2019 season… Recorded a 4^th-place finish at the USF Invitational with a time of 25:40.3 to help the Bears claim their second consecutive event title… Took 65th at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational with a time of 24:56.7… Set a personal best 8K time at the Pac-12 Championships with time of 24:45.6.1… Finished 92nd at the NCAA West Region Championships with a time of 31:35.3 …Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll selection.

2018: Competed in four meets for Cal during his first season with the cross country team... Opened the season with a seventh place finish at the USF Invitational as he helped the Bears to the team victory with a time of 25:08.6... Took 70th place at the Pac-12 Championship with a time of 25:39.16... Named to the Pac-12 All-Academic First Team thanks to a sterling 4.00 GPA.  

HIGH SCHOOL: CIF Northern Section Scholar-Athlete of the Year... Northern Section Cross Country champion in 2014 and won the 3200m the following track season... Finished 10th at the 2016 Division V California cross country state championship... Holds the Trinity HS record in the 800, 1600 and 3200... High School Valedictorian... National AP Scholar.

PERSONAL: Majoring in political science....Parents are Joanne and Michael Harper who both graduated from Cal and were members of the track & field/cross country team... Enjoys to play the piano, hike and read... Member of the Strawberry Canyon Track Club from 2016-2018.
