2012 (Junior): Rowed on Cal's second varsity eight that came in fourth at the IRA Championships and second at the Pac-12 Championships.

Personal: Competed with Los Gatos Rowing Club ... won the Hammer of Thor award in 2009 for the fastest junior rower ... placed fifth in the eight at nationals in 2010 and seventh in 2009 ... parents are Thorkell Gudmundsson and Maria Kjartansdottir ... one of three siblings ... brother, Kari, attended Cal ... undeclared major.
