  • Graduated with his degree in interdisciplinary studies following the 2021-22 season
  • Utilized the NCAA's wavier – which was granted to all Division I athletes who competed during the 2021-22 season – to compete collegiately for a fifth year

National (USA)

  • Won two medals (one gold, one silver) with Team USA the 2022 FINA World Championships
    • Split 1:45.31 on the third leg of Team USA's 4x200m free relay (7:00.24) to earn gold
    • Added a silver medal in the 4x100m medley relay after splitting 51.35 on the fly leg in prelims; Team USA later placed second in the finals (3:27.79)
    • Qualified for his first World Championships roster with a second-place finish in the 200-meter butterfly (1:54.22) & a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter freestyle (1:46.69) at the Phillips 66 International Team Trials
  • Won three medals (two gold, one silver) for the United States at the 2021 FINA Short-Course World Championships in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.
    • Helped Team USA set an American record (6:47.00) & win gold in the 4x200-meter freestyle relay with a 1:41.35 split
    • His second gold medal came in the 4x50m medley relay (1:30.51) as he swam on the prelim
    • His 49.36 butterfly split then contributed to Team USA's runner-up finish in the 4x100m medley relay (3:20.50)
