2012 (Freshman): Rowed on Cal's freshman eight that came in second at the IRA National Championships and at the Pac-12 Championships, and also beat Stanford.

Personal: Claimed first in the four at the U23 World Championships, which also ranked the best time in the world ... named the Best Athlete in his high school in 2006, 2008 and 2009 ... his team was named the Best Crew in 2011 ... has been a member of the Serbian National team since 2006 ... placed fifth at the junior world championships in 2009 ... parents are Slobodan and Svetlana Jovanovic .. has a sister ... undeclared major ... hopes to one day win a gold medal for his native Serbia ... born in Smederevo, Serbia.
