2022 (Outdoor): Appeared in nine meets for Cal… posted a shot put mark of 14.98m (49-1.75) at the NCAA West Preliminary… at the Pac-12 Championships, reached a shot put distance of 15.61m (51-2.75), sixth-farthest in school history… also threw the discus 48.04m (157-7) at that meet… took second in the shot put at the Big Meet with her mark of 15.31m (50-2.75)… posted a discus throw of 47.98m (157-5) at the Mt. SAC Relays… placed second with her shot put mark of 15.47m (50-9.25) at the Stanford Invitational… threw the discus 48.78m (160-0) at the Aztec Invitational… USTFCCCA All-Academic… CoSIDA Academic All-District… Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll.

2022 (Indoor): Competed in two meets… posted a personal-best 13.96m (45-9.75) in the shot put at the WSU Invitational... named to the Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll.

2021 (Outdoor): Competed in eight meets… set the 10^th-best mark in the Pac-12 Conference that year with her personal-best shot put of 14.93m (48-11.75) at the Pac-12 Outdoor Track & Field Championships… took first place in the discus throw with a heave of 51.26m (168-2), the ninth-best mark in the Pac-12 that season, at the Big Meet… also took first in the shot put (14.46m/47-5.25) and competed in the javelin throw (23.15m/92-4) at that meet… set a new personal record in the hammer throw at the Cal-USC Dual, posting a mark of 40.40m (132-6)… won the shot put competition at the Trojan Invitational after a toss of 14.14m (46-4.75)… at the Cal-Sac State Dual, took first place in the shot put (13.90m/45-7.25) and second place in the discus throw (47.46m/155-8)… U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic… named to the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll.

2021 (Indoor): Appeared in one meet… took fifth place in the shot put with a mark of 13.30m (43-7.75) at the Air Force Invitational.

2020 (Outdoor): Appeared in one meet… took first in the shot put and second in the discus throw with heaves of 13.15m (43-1.75) and 47.95m (157-4), respectively, at the Cal Opener.
 
2020 (Indoor): Competed in three meets for Cal… set personal records in both the shot put and the weight throw at the MPSF Indoor Championships, posting a throw of 13.41m (44-0) in the former and 14.07m (46.2) in the latter event… had a weight throw mark of 13.50m (44-3.5) at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational… threw the shot put 13.37m (43-10.5) at the New Mexico Team Open.

HIGH SCHOOL: Reached the 2019 California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) State Track & Field Championships and competed in both the shot put and the discus throw… took first in the discus and second in the shot put at that year’s CIF Central Coast Section Finals… also participated in both events at the 2019 Arcadia Invitational… finished second and third, respectively, in the shot put and the discus throw at the 2018 CIF Central Coast Section Finals… competed in those events at the Arcadia Invitational that year… placed second in the Central Coast Section for the shot put in 2017… as a freshman, placed first in the West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) discus finals.

PERSONAL: Majoring in legal studies with the intent of pursuing a career in criminal justice… daughter of Lisa and Paul Smoot… sister Katie played volleyball for Cal and for the University of Arizona… cousin Allen played baseball at the University of San Francisco and was drafted in 2017 by the Tampa Bay Rays… cousins Kyle, Matt and John played rugby for Arizona.
