Smith spent two seasons with the Cal football program from 2012-13 without seeing any game action before graduating from the prestigious Haas School of Business in May of 2014 with one season of collegiate eligibility remaining that he did not use.

► Averaged 41.0 yards per punt over the final two seasons of his prep career after taking up the job as a 2008 junior, while also playing wide receiver
► A four-year varsity letterwinner in volleyball, earning All-State and All-Southern Section honors in each of his final two seasons as his squad won a national title as a senior in 2010 and state titles both campaigns
► Among the nation’s top 50 players in volleyball for the class of 2010
► Graduated with his school’s highest academic honors and a 4.2 GPA
► President of his school’s Executive Student Council as a 2009-10 senior
