Worstell saw action on both sides of the ball during his Cal career but arguably made his biggest contribution to the team as a 2015 junior on special teams when he earned the J Scott Duncan Award as the team's Most Valuable Special Teams Player. Worstell played in 32 career games on both sides of the ball and special teams including his lone career start in his final collegiate game in the season finale of his 2016 senior season against UCLA. He contributed career totals of 12 receptions and 107 yards receiving on offense,, as well as a combined 18 special teams and defensive tackles, and one forced fumble and one pass breakup on defense over his last three seasons with the program after not playing in his first two campaigns at Cal. He was also featured on several occasions for his involvement with the Wounded Warrior Project, selling bracelets to support wounded soldiers and their families.

• Participated at Cal’s 2017 Pro Day and had notable numbers in the 40-yard dash (4.49), 3 cone drill (6.67), broad jump (10’3”), vertical jump (35”) and 20-yard shuttle (4.28)

Cal Career (2012-16)
• Played in 32 games on both sides of the ball and on special teams including his lone career start in the season finale against UCLA as a 2016 senior
• Contributed 12 receptions and 107 yards receiving on offense, as well as a combined 18 special teams and defensive tackles, and one forced fumble and one pass breakup on defense over his last three seasons with the program after not playing in his first two campaigns at Cal
• Registered a career-high-tying seven tackles during both his sophomore and junior seasons while all his defensive non-tackle stats came as a sophomore and his offensive stats as a junior and senior
• Had single-season career highs of nine receptions and 82 yards receiving as a senior
• Had a single-game career-high-tying three catches on a trio of occasions, twice as a senior at Arizona State for a career-high 32 yards and at San Diego State for 24 yards, as well as once as a junior for 25 yards in the season-opener against Grambling State wben he also had a career-long 15-yard reception
• Recorded a single-game career-high three tackles and his lone career forced fumble as a 2014 sophomore vs. UCLA, while his first and only career pass breakup came the same season vs. Washington

• Played in a career-high all 13 games off the bench
• In addition to his special teams prowess, returned to wide receiver after spending his 2014 sophomore season as a safety
• Contributed a career-high-tying three receptions for a season-high 25 yards receiving all in the season-opener against Grambling State including a career-long 15-yard catch
• Registered seven tackles with a season-high-tying two stops vs. Grambling State and Arizona State, while picking up one each vs. Washington State, Oregon State and in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl against Grambling State

• Played in the first eight games of the season off the bench as a reserve safety and on special teams before missing the final four contests due to injury, contributing seven tackles, one pass breakup and one forced fumble to rank tied for second on the team in the latter
• Recorded a career-high three tackles and his lone career forced fumble vs. UCLA, while he had two stops vs. both Colorado and Washington while adding a lone career single pass breakup against the Huskies

• Other honors as a senior included a pair of Contra Costa Times’ Player of the Week selections including one for his seven-catch, 175-yard receiving performance in a 42-38 win over California High School that also earned him Cal-Hi Sports Offensive Player of the Game and Infinity Player of the Week selections
• A member of the National Underclassmen Ultimate West top 100 list both as a 2010 junior and 2011 senior
• Played at the same high school as current Cal football teammate Matt Anderson, as well as former Cal teammates Zach Kline, Kyle Kragen and John Sheperdson
• Also a two-time lacrosse All-American as a prep who was offered a scholarship to play at Syracuse
• One of ESPN’s top 100 lacrosse players in the country as well as a top 25 midfielder as a 2012 senior
