Coming off several impressive individual performances last week, especially by the seniors, the California men's and women's track and field teams return home to host the Cal Open, Friday-Saturday, April 26-27. Friday is devoted exclusively to the hammer with the men's competition at 2 p.m., followed by the women's at 4 p.m. Field events begin Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with the women's javelin, and the first running event is the women's 4x100m relay at noon. Competition concludes at 4:10 p.m. with the men's 4x400m relay.
The field for the non-scored meet includes representatives from Stanford, The Farm Team, UC Davis, Sacramento State, Nevada (women) and San Francisco State, along with many unattached athletes.
