WHAT'S ON TAP FOR CAL LACROSSE: The Bears return home to California this week and resume Mountain Pacific Sports Federation play when they travel up the highway to UC Davis Saturday for an afternoon bout with the Aggies on Aggie Field at 1 p.m. California has not played a conference game since defeating Denver 17-14 on Feb. 22. Following this week's UC Davis contest, the Bears will have just one MPSF regular season game remaining before traveling to Denver May 6-8 for the conference championship.
A LOOK AT THE AGGIES: UC Davis (9-3, 1-2 in the MPSF) returns home following back-to-back East Coast trips. The Aggies, ranked second in last week's Inside Lacrosse Division II Power Poll, were 5-1 through the Atlantic swings and have won eight of their last nine games. Senior attacker Kelly Albin tied a school record with seven goals in the Aggies' 13-10 win over Bloomsburg Sunday. UC Davis began the 2004 season 1-2, losing at Stanford 15-4, defeating St. Mary's 16-6 at home and losing again 12-10 at Denver in overtime.
O'MARA NATIONAL ASSIST PER GAME LEADER: Senior attacker Colleen O'Mara was ranked No. 1 in the NCAA's individual statistics for assists per game last week, averaging 2.46 per contest over 14 games for a total of 32. No other West Coast player was rated in the Top 20. O'Mara's pair of five-assist games (vs. Le Moyne and Villanova) also earned national ranking, tying her at fourth in the individual game high category. Only one other player has recorded five or more assists in a game twice this season, senior Rachel Shuck of Loyola (Md.), who tallied five against Delaware and UMBC. And that isn't all. O'Mara was tied at third for points in a game for her nine-point (four goals and five assists) effort against Le Moyne. Only one other Bear has cracked the NCAA individual game high statistics this year. Junior midfielder Molly Brady was tied at fifth for her seven-goal performance against Denver.

Senior midfielder Julianne Wu is second on the team with 23 goals and a 1.64 goals per game average. Senior attacker Colleen O'Mara reigns as Cal's all-time assists leader, averaging 2.29 this season with 32 total assists. O'Mara also leads the team in points with 47, an average of 3.36 per game.
