BERKELEY, Calif. -
Rising junior Shannon Yocum has been selected to the NGCA Academic All-American Scholar Team for the second consecutive season. Yocum is the fourth Golden Bear to be named to the honor team more than once, joining Eden Anderson, Nicole Bolter and Anne Walker.
Yocum, an economics major, was in Cal's starting lineup for 11 tournaments in 2006-07. She finished the season with a 77.87 stroke average, which was an improvement over her freshman average of 79.0.
To be selected to the NGCA Academic All-American Scholar Team a student-athlete must boast at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and compete in at least 50 percent of her team's rounds.
