Stanford Co-Head Coach Adam Norton Quotes after April 30 MPSF Quarterfinal Rout of Saint Mary's

April 30, 2008

BERKELEY - Stanford co-head coach Adam Norton commented on his team's 19-4 quarterfinal rout of Saint Mary's on April 30 at Memorial Stadium and its upcoming semifinal match with rival and MPSF Championship tournament host Cal on Thursday, May 1. Cal beat Stanford, 11-9, on Feb. 23 in the Golden Bears' second game of the season:

"It was great to see us play for 60 minutes. Saint Mary's has some talented players who have the potential to give us a lot of trouble, and we were able to take care of them. We were able to have everybody play a full game and play some good clean lacrosse."

"We're looking forward to tomorrow. We lost a tough one to Cal in the regular season, and I know that our girls are absolutely fired up to face them in the semifinals and right that wrong from the regular season."
