Chris Yeager of California men's crew was part of the U.S. men's eight that claimed first in a record-setting time at the 2011 U23 World Championships, which were held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, this weekend. Cal head coach Mike Teti was the coach of the men's eight boat.

"I am especially proud of how well all of our Cal student-athletes performed at these World Championships," Teti said. "It was great to hear the 'GO BEARS' greetings walking around the streets of Amsterdam. I can't wait to get back to Berkeley."
