BERKELEY -
Two members of the California Golden Bear women's golf team earned 2011-12 All-American Scholar honors from the National Golf Coaches Association. Junior Jacqueline Williams and sophomore Nicola Roessler both were recognized with this prestigious honor.
The National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Teams for Division I, II & III were announced with a total of 585 women's collegiate golfers recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
Junior Jacqueline Williams and sophomore Nicola Roessler were both named to the team. This is the first NGCA All-American Scholar honor for either player. Williams was named to the Pac-12 All-Academic first team earlier this season. Roessler was an honorable mention for the conference academic honor.
Williams and Roessler are the 14th and 15th recipients of the honor in the history of the Cal golf program.
