1997: Appeared in all of Cal's 19 matches as a freshman, starting eight...scored three goals on only 17 shots...also added a pair of assists...her eight points tied her for third on the team in scoring...had three points on a goal and an assist in her first game as a collegian, Cal's 5-2 win over Utah...also scored the game-winning goal in a pair of 1-0 Cal wins (UCSB and Washington State).
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: A three-year starter at Clayton Valley HS...led the Cougars to three-consecutive Mountain Bay Athletic League titles and earned first team All-MBAL honors as a sophomore, junior and senior...played five years for Diablo Valley Soccer Club and guided the Flames to the 1994, '95 and '97 state cup championships...a member of the state ODP team from 1993-96...was selected to the Region IV ODP pool team in both 1995 and '96...English major...nickname is "Grubby"...parents are Cary and Cathy Vanderlip of Concord...born March 1, 1979 in San Jose.
