Bears Fall to Trojans
LOS ANGELES - Senior lefthander Randy Flores pitched 8 innings and struk out 10 to lead No. 7 USC to a 7-5 victory over California Friday night at Dedeaux Field. Flores, who is now 5-2 this year and 38-5 in his Trojan career (good for No. 2 on the USC all-time win list), allowed 3 runs (only one earned) on 5 hits and 2 walks.
USC is now 18-6 overall and 3-4 in the Pac-10 Southern Division while the Golden Bears drop to 10-13 and 0-4.
Offensively, USC was led by Greg Walbridge, who was 3-for-4 with a home run and a double, and Morgan Ensberg, who was 3-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI. Jeremy Freitas also homered for the Trojans, who compiled 12 hits.
Senior Drew Fischer started and took the losss (2-3) for California.
