CALIFORNIA - Jennings begins her second year at Cal after transferring from the University of Idaho...in 2000 as a JUNIOR, posted the Bears season-best mark in the 400m (56.06), finishing sixth at the California/Nevada state meet...competed one year each at Canada College and Idaho...was the junior college national champion in the 400m (55.67)...had her 200m PR of 25.21 at the Bruce Drummond Invite.
HIGH SCHOOL - Qualified for the state meet in the 400m as a junior and senior at Woodside HS...named track team MVP and All-PAL her sophomore through senior seasons...her high school PRs were 24.87 in the 200m and 56.03 in the 400m.
PERSONAL - Shavone Rochelle Jennings-Popoola was born Nov. 28, 1978, in Stanford...parents are Ernest and Barbara Jennings...has a son, Christian Popoola, Jr...sociology major.
