as a JUNIOR in 2001, finished first in the 3000mSC at the California-Nevada State Meet with a school record and NCAA provisional time of 10:44.95...finished second at the Big Meet with a time 11:10.81 in the 3000mSC...competed in both the 3000mSC and 5000m at the Pac-10 Championships with times of 11:09.14 (10th) and 17:48.84 (19th), respectively...honorable mention Academic All-Pac-10 honoree...redshirted the 2000 season after transferring to Cal from the University of Portland...a two-time all-conference selection at Portland...competed in several meets as an unattached athlete in 2000 to gain experience.
