AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN IN 2001-02: Finished 15th in both the shot put (43-3.25) and hammer (154-11) at the Pac-10 Championships...held Cal’s third-best marks of the season in the shot put (44-7.5), set at the UCLA Triangular, and in the hammer (165-6), set at the Big Meet...notched three second-place finishes in the shot put, posting runner-up marks at the Cal Open (43-5.75), Woody Wilson Invitational (43-9.5) and Cardinal Qualifier (43-3.75)...finished third in the discus at both the Cal Open (142-7) and Woody Wilson Invitational (145-8)...also placed third in the hammer at the Cardinal Qualifier (159-8)... was high school’s valedictorian.

HIGH SCHOOL: Selected Coalinga High School’s 2000 Athlete of the Year…three-time team MVP…helped lead her high school to four North Sequoia League titles…set the school record in the shot put (40-1) and discus (130-0)…also competed on the basketball and tennis teams.

PERSONAL: Tamrya Dawn d’Artenay was born Feb. 17, 1982, in Hanford, CA…parents are Ron and Pam d’Artenay…integrative biology major.
