AS A JUNIOR IN 2002-03: Giron won the Big Meet in the 400mH (52.53)...placed eighth (51.88) with an NCAA regional qualifying time in 400mH at the Pac-10 Championships.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2001-02: Scored points for the Golden Bears at the Pac-10 Championships with a fifth-place finish in the triple jump (49-10)...that mark was the second-best on the squad for the season...won the triple jump (49-5.75) and finished third in the long jump (21-11.75) at the Big Meet.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2000-01: Posted his PR (53:06) in the 400mH at the Bruce Drummond Invitational...also ran on Cal's 4x400m relay.

HIGH SCHOOL: At Monte Vista HS, finished fifth in the state in the 300mH and fourth in the triple jump...PRs included 37.3 (300mH) and 48-3 (triple jump)...owns the school records in the 300mH, triple jump and the 4x400m relay...also a first team All-Bay Area cornerback.
