Cal Finishes Fifth at USF Invitational
San Francisco, CA. -- Led by freshman Dong Yi's tie for fourth in the
individual competition, the Cal men's golf team placed fifth among 14
schools at the USF Invitational Oct. 20-22 at the Olympic Club in San
Francisco.
After shooting 311 and 309 on the first two day's of the
tournament, the Bears came back with a 286 on the final day -- the best
round of any team in the field -- to finish at 906 (+45).
UC Irvine took top honors with a score of 901. Among the individuals,
Pacific's Sean Corte-Real was the medalist with a final score of
218. Yi was just two strokes back at 220.
