Cal Finishes Third at UCLA/Daily News Gymnastics Invitational
LOS ANGELES - Lella Khoury's fourth-place finish in the all-around competition led the California women's gymnastics team to a third-place finish Saturday at the UCLA/Daily News Gymnastics Invitational at Pauley Pavilion.
Khoury finished with a score of 38.55 in the all-around with her best show coming on the vault where she scored a 9.75.
Also having a good day for Cal was Candice Kwok who was tied for third in the vault (9.85) and tied for fourth on the beam (9.75). Christine Nishimoto finished fifth on bars with a score of 9.676.
UCLA won the tournament with a score of 195.15 and LSU was second with 19.725 and University of California at Santa Barbara was fourth with 186.725 points.
UCLA's Leah Homma won the all-around title with a score of 39.45.
