Lauren Shipp completed her successful four-year career at Cal in 2005, before joining the coaching staff as an undergrad assistant coach. In 2005, Ship posted a career-high 9.775 twice on the bars and collected a season average of 9.639 on the beam. At 2004 NCAA Regional, Shipp posted third-best competition mark on beam (9.900) and eighth-best score on vault (9.875). Also in 2004 she set a school-record 9.950 on vault, which was instrumental in helping the Bears upset Oregon State. Shipp saw limited action in 2003 due to an ankle injury. However she placed 11th on beam (9.875) at Pac-10 Championships and was named Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention.
