The best part about being on Cal crew is: Having such amazing teammates. We all work so hard to reach our team goal and always approach each day with a competitive attitude. This team does not have a core group that carries everyone else; rather the talent on this team is widespread and everyone plays a critical role in our success.
The best part of the University is: Being surrounded by excellence. The University has world-renowned professors, intelligent students, and great coaches and dedicated athletes.
My greatest achievement/finest moment was: Being a part of Cal's first ever NCAA Rowing Championship in 2005. The win helped to set a new standard of training and discipline for the team which then enabled us to win the championship again in 2006.
I chose Cal because: It offered me everything I was looking for in a college - great academics, a competitive rowing team and a unique place to live.
What sets Cal apart: The Cal culture emphasizes greatness in all facets of life whether it be in the classroom, at work or on the field. As a result, it is a very inspirational community to be a part of.
