CAL WATER POLO: A driver on Cal's 2004 team.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2004 graduate of Leland High School...a six-time All-American who competed in the 200 IM at the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials...best times in the 200 IM (1:49.71) and 500 freestyle (4:28.08) would have ranked fifth and third, respectively, on last season's Cal team...two-time San Jose Mercury News Swimmer of the Year...also a two-time All-American and two-time BVAL Player of the Year in water polo...scored a 144 goals as a senior...helped his team finish second in the 2004 Central Coast Section championship...was a member of the Lamorinda Water Polo Club that won gold at the 2004 20-Under National Championship.
PERSONAL: Made 2002 national youth "A" team for water polo...undeclared major...parents are Mike and Sandy Monsees...Mike Monsees played water polo at San Jose State...Zac Monsees was born on Nov. 16, 1985, in San Jose, CA.
