AS A SOPHOMORE (2000): Had the team's fourth-best time in the 200 fly (1:51.15)...AS A FRESHMAN (1999): Had bests of 49.73 in the 100 fly and 1:48.68 in the 200 fly (swam at the Pac-10 Championship)...HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: At the Bolles School in Jacksonville, FL earned swimming All-America honors, was named Most Improved Swimmer and was in the National Age Group Top-16...high school team was ranked No. 1 in the nation and won the state championship four of his four years...also was a member of USS Senior National and USS Junior National championship teams, and was on a record-setting 200 medley relay (butterfly leg) team (1:32.01)...had bests of 49.77 in the 100 fly, 1:51.44 in the 200 fly, 46.90 in the 100 free and 1:40.20 in the 200 free...considered Columbia, Brown, Rutgers and UC Santa Barbara before selecting Cal...majoring in political science..mother is Yoona...born October 23, 1980 in Eureka, CA.
