HIGH SCHOOL: At Carondelet High School was Bay Valley Athletic League MVP and a first team all-league selection as a senior...was first team All-East Bay, a member of the 2000 All-Power Bar team and a North Coast Section Scholar-Athlete as well...played for the Forefront Volleyball Club in Berkeley, helping Forefront qualify for the elite 18-Open division of the Junior Olympic National Championship help this past summer in Salt Lake City, UT...also helped lead Forefront to the finals of the Northeast National Qualifier in Baltimore, MD and fifth-place finishes at the Mikasa Kickoff Tournament in Torrance, CA and the Junior Far Westerns National Qualifier in Reno, NV this past spring.
PERSONAL: Julie Lynn Colmery was born Aug. 23, 1983 in Walnut Creek, CA...parents are Joe Colmery and Sue Mannina...has a brother, Brian (19), and a sister Katie (6)...selected Cal over Temple, Alabama, Montana and Saint Mary's...has not declared a major.
