PALO ALTO, Calif. - Stanford senior captain Grant Elliott
beat California's Minh Le (6-3, 6-3) to clinch a 6-1 Cardinal victory
this afternoon at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium. The win improved
Stanford's record to 20-2, while the Golden Bears fell to 9-11.
Stanford's Ryan Wolters, the No. 12 player in the country, battled
back from a 4-6 loss in the second set to handle Chris Santoso (6-3,
4-6, 6-4). Cardinal freshman Bob Bryan dispatched Cal's Alex Sueur
(6-1, 6-1).
Stanford's Geoff Abrams fought off David Sutton in a 2-6, 7-5, 7-5
victory.
