Anteaters Upset No. 23 Golden Bears
IRVINE, Calif. -- The UC Irvine men's tennis team, ranked
54th in the country, won a 5-2 match over No. 23 California at the
Racquet Club of Irvine, Sunday.
After winning the doubles point, the Anteaters got singles wins from
no. 1 steve Tallakson, who is ranked 84th nationally, No. 2 Thomas
Bohun, No. 3 Rob Walker and No. 4 Cameran Lindee. Cal's two wins at No.
5 and No. 6 took three sets.
The win is the first on the season for UCI, which goes to 1-2, while
Cal drops to 1-2 overall.
The Bears return to the court Thursday for the four-day ITA
Rolex Indoors tournament in Dallas.
