The Bears Travel to UC Davis Saturday for Their First Road Trip of the Season

BERKELEY, Calif. - Cal is 3-0 on the season and has won all it's games by more than 40 points, but that doesn't necesarily make head coach Jack Clark happy.

"UC Davis are an accomplished team. What some of their players lack in rugby knowledge, they make up in athleticism. They are fit and they run well. So personnel wise it will be a challenge.

We are going to have to deny them some posession and we'll have to play very good defense in the primary phases. The Aggies are most dangerous if they stick a ball behind your defense . All of a sudden it's a jail break and their 15 very good athletes can all make a guy miss a tackle and they are skilled enough to support each other.

Psychologically we are where we need to be. Our team respects Davis but at the same time believes we can win the game. If I had a concern it would be fitness. I imagine there will be a lot of pressure in the game. It will be fast paced if the weather will allow it and I don't think we're razor sharp from a game fitness standpoint.

"We haven't been pushed yet. We haven't been put in 50-50 situations for a ball. We haven't had the other team have as much posession as we have. We haven't had to play defense over and over again. We haven't been put unbder any pressure at all this season and I know there'll be moments of pressure on Saturday."
