High School/Personal:Listed as one of nation's Top 100 prospects and a pre-season All-America by Street & Smith's and Student Sports magazines in 2001 ... kicked CIF North Section-record 19 career field goals during his three seasons at Red Bluff Union ... six of those field goals came from 50 yards or beyond, with his longest a 53-yarder ... set CIF North Section mark by kicking two 50-yard field goals in one game when he banged through 53- and 51-yarders (he missed wide on 56- and 58-yard attempts in the same game) ... had a 72-yard field goal in practice, while his longest attempt in a game was 69 yards ... booted career 106 touchbacks on kickoffs - a national high school record ... a three-time first team all-state choice by Cal Hi Sports magazine ... named All-West Region by PrepStar magazine, which calls Johnson "one of best kickers in the West" ... earned All-Eastern Athletic League and All-CIF North Section honors as sophomore, junior and senior ... father, Paul, coached former Cal quarterback Gale Gilbert at Red Bluff Union High.
