HIGH SCHOOL: Listed as the No. 28 player in the NorCalPreps.com ratings ... a two-way standout that helped his school to the North Coast Section 4A Championship Game and a Co-East Bay Athletic League title in his 2007 senior season ... finished with 136 tackles and 1.5 sacks on defense as a senior, as well as 398 yards of total offense (281 rush, 117 receiving) and six touchdowns (four rushing, two receiving) at running back and tight end to earn EBAL MVP and Defensive Player of the Year honors ... was also listed as one of the top-100 Athletes of the Year by the Contra Costa Times as a senior ... had 290 yards and five TDs on the ground to go with five receptions and 34 yards receiving in his junior campaign, while recording 107 tackles, 1.5 sacks and one interception on defense ... also returned a kick 36 yards as a junior ... saw most of his action as a sophomore on defense, when he recorded 115 tackles and 2.5 sacks ... added four rushes for 13 yards on the ground during his sophomore campaign.
