Chiang Leads Bears to Victory over Texas
AUSTIN, TEXAS- California's eighth ranked women's swimming and diving team defeated No. 11 University of Texas last night at the Jamal Texas Swimming Center in Austin. When the waves had settled, the Bears had a 164-136 victory.
Marylyn Chiang swam to NCAA automatic times in the 100-yard backstroke (54.07) and the 100-yard butterfly (54.25). She also met the consideration standard in the 200-yard backstroke (2:01.16). She placed first in all three events. Cal improves to 6-0 with the win.
