A sophomore IMer/butterflyer/backstroker from Bangkok, Thailand...as a freshman (1997) was a member of the Bears school record-setting 400 medley relay team (butterfly leg, 54.56 split) which placed 10th at the NCAA Championship...also earned honorable mention All-America honors by placing 10th at the NCAA meet in the 200 fly with career-best 2:00.48 (third-best all-time Cal mark), and was a member of Cal's 400 free relay (10th at the NCAA meet, 51.56 split) and 200 medley relay teams (12th at the NCAA meet, butterfly leg, 25.09 split)...had the team's second-best time in the 100 fly (career-best 55.59, NCAA consideration standard, seventh-best all-time Cal mark), third-best time in the 400 IM (career-best 4:22.40, NCAA consideration standard) and fourth-best time in the 200 IM (2:03.28, NCAA consideration standard, ninth-best all-time Cal mark)...swam the butterfly leg for the Bears 200 and 400 medley relays that placed fourth at the Pac-10 Championship...in the summer competed at the Canadian Nationals in the 100-meter fly, swimming a career-best 1:02.75...at The Bolles School in Jacksonville, FL was an All-American in 1993, '94, '95 and '96...was the 1995-96 Florida state champion in the 100 fly (55.60), leading her team to the 1994 USS National Championship and 1995 High School Mythical Championship...has been a member of the Thailand National Swim Team since 1990 and competed in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics (swam the 200-meter fly and 400-meter IM) and the 1996 Atlanta Olympics...is the Thailand national record holder in the 100 and 200 back, the 200 and 400 IM and the 200 fly...in Atlanta swam the 100-meter back (1:04.61, 21st, Thailand national record), 400-meter IM, 100-meter fly (1:03.35) and 200-meter IM (34th)...at the 1995 Southeast Asian Games set Thailand national records and won gold medals in the 400-meter IM (4:54.31), 200-meter fly (2:15.62) and 200-meter back (2:19.31), and a silver medal in the 200-meter IM (2:19.38)...competed at the 1997 Short Course World Championship in Gothenburg, Sweden this past March...club coaches are Larry Shofe and Gregg Troy of the Bolles Sharks...undeclared major with an interest in business...parents are Malin and Prasasn of Bangkok, Thailand...born 1/7/78 in Bangkok, Thailand.
