was a stellar relay swimmer who was on all of Cal's relay teams at the NCAA
Championship...was a member of the Bears school record setting 400 medley
relay team (freestyle leg, 50.43 split) which placed 10th at the NCAA
meet...earned All-America honors as a member of the Bears 800 free relay
team that placed seventh at the NCAA meet...also earned honorable mention
All-America honors as a member of Cal's 400 free relay team (10th at the
NCAA meet, 50.51 split) and 200 medley relay team (freestyle leg, 23.45
split, 12th at the NCAA meet)...was a member of Cal's 800 free relay team
that set a school dual meet record (7:32.70) Jan. 12 versus Michigan...was
also a member of the Bears 200 free, 400 free and 400 medley (freestyle
leg, 50.15 split) relays which all placed fourth at the Pac-10
Championship...had the team's third-best time in the 100 free (career-best
50.92, NCAA consideration standard, eighth-best all-time Cal mark) and
fourth-best times in the 50 free (career-best 23.79, NCAA consideration
standard) and 200 free (career-best 1:51.05, NCAA consideration
standard)...this past summer swam the 50, 100 and 200-meter free at the USS
Summer Senior Nationals in Nashville, TN...at Clovis High School was a
three-time All-American, setting CIF Northern Section records in the 50
free (23.80), 100 free (51.98) and 100 back (57.50)...was named North
Yosemite League Outstanding Female Swimmer from 1994-96...had a 3.97 high
school GPA and graduated in three years...club coach is Tom Milich of the
Clovis Swim Club...undeclared major...parents are Carlos Omphroy of
Honolulu, HI and Margaret Dominguez of Clovis, CA...born 2/25/79 in Los
Angeles, CA.
