Enters her third year at Cal, including a redshirt year in 1998-99 due to back and knee ailments…started Cal's first three games in 1998-99 at off-guard before sitting out the remainder of the season with a medical redshirt...won the Golden Bear Award for the highest team GPA in 1998-99…has excellent ball handling, passing and shooting abilities…extremely versatile player.
As a freshman in 1997-98: Made an immediate impact…earned Pac-10 All-Freshman honors, joining Jennie Leander as the only Cal players in the 90s to earn such kudos…shared team co-MVP honors with Paige Bowie...started 26-of-28 games…despite never playing the position, she came in and established herself as the starting point guard to open the season…started 10 games at point guard and then moved back to shooting guard, her more natural position, where she started 16 games…ranked second on the team in scoring (10.9 ppg) and led the Bears with 2.9 assists per game…in the Pac-10, ranked ninth in FG percentage (.487) and 16th in scoring (10.9 ppg).made the game-winning layin (62-61) at USF…scored in double figures 17 times, including a career-high 20 points at USF…dished out a career-best 10 assists vs. Oregon State.
High School: Member of the Yugoslavian Junior National Team…played for the Red Star Club team in Yugoslavia for three seasons (1994-96)…Red Star won the Division I Yugoslavian Cup in 1994 and '96, and was the championship winner in 1995…named best junior player in 1995…in the spring of 1996, played in the junior qualification tournament to the European Championship and was named MVP of the tourney.
Personal: Masa Radovic was born July 14, 1978, in Belgrade, Yugoslavia…parents are Goran and Slavica Radovic…has an older brother, Vuk…mass communications major.
